Opening Session -CAE-
Professor Noboru Kikuch (University of Michigan) will give a lecture titled "Toward company-wide deployment of a multiscale and multiphysics CAE ".
In addition, CDAJ will introduce the latest version of STAR-CD, which is the main product of CDAJ, and show our new development plan of next generation CFD codes including STAR-CCM/STAR-CCM+. |
| Hall D |
Opening Session -CAO-
A CAE manager of Power Takeoff (PTO) holding a Master Black Belt of Six Sigma from Ford Motor Company will give a lecture regarding the present state of quality management using CAO at Ford Motor Company.
In addition, ESTECO s.r.l, a developer of modeFRONTIER will introduce new modeFRONTIER features. modeFRONTIER is a multi-objective and robust design optimization tool. |

Hall A |
New technologies and case studies for effective CAE environment
Adapting a design process to CAE becomes a great challenge. This session will introduce CAE systems and effective tools (i.e. mesher, morphing, CAD data repair ) to build an effective CAE environment by presenting application cases from our customers. |
| Hall B |
CAE Applications in Thermal Management and Precision Engineering
"CDAJ will introduce the latest CAE technologies for thermal management which is one of the major issues in electronics. CDAJ's customers will introduce the present approaches including accuracy examinations for thermal issues and challenges for the future. In addition, CDAJ will introduce a new thermal analysis tool
for electronics. " |
| Hall C |
Applications for Virtual Car System (GT-SUITE) with Engine Performance Predictions
The forefront research institutes and companies including University of Turin (Italy) and General Motors Europe will present their application cases with GT-SUITE, an integrated CAE and program for engine design analysis.
Gamma Technologies, Inc., a developer of GT-SUITE, will introduce the latest features and its future development plan. |
| Hall D |
Applications of Optimization Technologies for Design
Diverse research institutes and companies will introduce their applications to optimization design work and future approaches. |

CAE Applications in Fuel Cells
This session will address experiments and simulations for fuel cells which attracts much attention from many industries. Professor Wang from Electrochemical Engine Center (ECEC), Pennsylvania State University, one of the forefront institutes, and a CAE manager of fuel cells from General Motors will talk about the latest simulation techniques and future trends for fuel cells. |
| Hall B |
CAE Applications in Building
Simulations for design requirements, including comfort improvement in residential space and environmental consideration, will be introduced. |
| Hall C |
Technologies in Control, Verification of Embedded Software and Quality Management
SCADE Drive, a development supporting tool for embedded control software based on "Formalization", has been introduced first in Japan.
SCADE Drive enables a series of processes including specification design, design verification, simulation and automatic code generation in a single tool.
Esterel Technologies, a developer of SCADE Drive, will introduce the latest features as well as applications in Europe. |
| Hall D |
CAE Applications of Engine simulations
Professor Fabian Mauss of Lund Institute of Technology(Lund University, Sweden) will talk about overall simulation technologies for in-cylinder engines, especially about HCCI combustion model. And then, another talk will be about new combustion models in STAR-CD which capable for SI-GDI gasoline, Diesel, and HCCI in-cylinder engines. |

Hall A |
Simulation Technologies in Chemical and Process Industry
"This session contain advanced application of racting flow analysis to de-NOx using radial induced by plasma as key note. CD-adapco and Reaction Design will introduce newly developed fueature on their own product asociated with chemical industry. Our customers will also introduce their application cases for chemical plants and reacting flow analyses." |
| Hall B |
Advanced Technology in Multi-Physics (Fluid-Structure Interactions and Aeroacoustics)
There are a number of problems which should be solved with multi-physics simulations such as fluid-structure interactions and aeroacoustics.
CDAJ will present multi-physics solutions for these problems. |
| Hall C |
CAE Applications in Power Generation
The power generation, including nuclear power plant, electric generators, boilers, furnaces, gas turbines, water turbines, pumps and compressors, is the field which started addressing CAE early and has delivered results. CDAJ's customers from the heavy industry and the heavy electric manufacturing industry will present the latest CAE technologies mainly by presenting their application cases. |
| Hall D |
CAE Applications in Overall Automotive Design
"This session will includes various topics with regard to wide range of CAE applications of automotive designs,in-cylinder engine, after treatment, catalysts, engine compartment cooling, cabin air-conditioning, and so on." |
